Reviews of woodlands hotel
We have just returned from a stay at this lovely hotel. Beautifully decorated and spacious rooms, the hosts Dan and Megan could not have been more welcoming. Lovely family run hotel with a calm peaceful atmosphere run very well within the covid 19 rules but without encroaching on our stay. We stayed, dinner, B&B… and it was well worth the money. We had a superior king room with a lovely ensuite shower room, bed so very comfortable. Breakfast and Dinner could not be faulted, plenty of choice and well presented, could not fault one meal we ate. We would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely return.

Lovely quaint and quirky hotel, very welcoming. Scrupulously clean and all Covid guidelines adhered to. Very comfortable bed and good size room with everything we needed. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Definitely recommend.

What a surprise the Woodlands Hotel turned out to be. I was apprehensive about 2 stars yet the 5 star reviews on TA are more representative of the quality and friendliness of the hotel. We went for DB&B because we weren’t sure what impact COVID-19 would have on restaurants in the area. We definitely made the right decision – food was excellent. The size of the hotel and number of residents meant great friendly service from Dan, Megan and staff – more like a homely guest house but wonderful.

We chose this hotel to celebrate my special birthday and I am so pleased we did. From arriving to leaving we had a great time. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is excellent and the hospitality just perfect. When we are in Sidmouth next we will not hesitate to stay here.
